Olga Tzouramani
Doctor of Criminology (specialized in correctional facilities), Criminologist & Psychotherapist. Ph.D., MSc, MSc, Llm(c). – P.A.D.A. MemberDr. Olga Tzouramani belongs to the scientific-academic staff of the University of Nicosia/Cyprus. After completing her undergraduate studies in Psychology at the university of Wales, she went to obtain two Master’s of Science: 1) In Criminology (University of Nicosia/CY) 2) In Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (University of Derby/UK). Also, she continues her education with a third Master’s in Law in the field of Human Rights and Social Justice (University of Nicosia/CY).
Dr Tzouramani obtained her PhD in Criminology specializing in correctional facilities from the University of Nicosia (CY) and her thesis is entitled: ‘The multifaceted impact of incarceration on inmates and their families’. After the successful completion of her Doctoral studies, she is conducting a Post-doc research.
She has teaching experience at the University of Nicosia in the Postgraduate Program in Criminology, in the academic courses: "Research Methods in Criminology" and "Sexual and Violent Offenders" and at the Mediterranean College / University of Derby in the Undergraduate Program in Psychology, in the subject of Forensic Psychology and Criminology etc. Also, she has practical experience in the field of substance abuse and addiction, the impact of trauma and its treatment and in Grief and Loss Management.
Her areas of concentration and research interests are: Sexual Offenses, Domestic Violence, Animal Abuse, Child Pornography on the internet, as well as issues related to the operation of the Criminal Justice System. She is a member of International Scientific Associations with many publications, she has participated in various conferences, workshops, symposiums, and academic seminars. She is scientific analyst of the TV show "Fws sto tounel" and she has participated as an analyst in other TV shows (Odigos Kalis Zwhs). Finally, she has published articles in newspapers and has given TV and radio interviews in Greece and Cyprus.
