Eleni Bakouri

Head of the Drug Department of the General State Chemistry (ret.) – Vice president P.A.D.A.

She is a graduate of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the School of Health Sciences of the University of Athens and holds a PhD from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She worked for several years in the Drug Department of the 2nd Chemical Service of the General State Chemistry (1986-2021) and was Head of the department for 18 years (2003-2021).
She has dealt with sample analysis of prosecution authorities, the identification of drugs, psychotropic substances and their adulterations and has collaborated with drug law enforcement agencies and drug precursors. She has represented the General State Chemistry Laboratory internationally, participating as a national expert in EU Working Groups and EU drug programs. She has also attended numerous certified educational programs, such as Social Clinical Psychology of Addictions, Drugs and their Precursors and Forensic Chemistry/illegal production methodology, both nationally and internationally.
