The event was welcomed by the mayor of Hermionida, Ioannis Georgopoulos, who also welcomed the President of the P.A.D.A. Institute - Anti-Drug Action and all the members of his team, who then spoke about their actions.
The P.A.D.A. Institute President referred to the wrong role models that children nowadays follow, and their negative effect on them. He was moved when he said that people who have conquered success with toil and fatigue and that have come through a lot of difficulties, are not adequately promoted. He focused on education and information, he explained how important these two concepts are in prevention against drugs, while he also focused on the work of OKANA and KETHEA. As he said, however, the most important thing is not to... result in the treatment of drugs after using them, while the average age of children (close to 13) who try substances has decreased.
