Athletic Champion 100-200-400 – P.A.D.A. MemberI was born on 16/7/1972 in Ierapetra. I started playing sports at the local club (GS Libyan Ierapetra). I started playing track and field at the age of 10 and my first awards started at the age of 12.
At 17 I was 6th at the World Junior Championships, setting successive National junior records in the preliminary heats, semi-finals and the final National women's record in the 400m. I was Greek champion for 20 years, which is a record for a Greek athlete! I have won National competitions 28 times and have broken 43 National records in all categories.
The 42 records remain unbroken to this day, with the oldest being 37 years old.
International distinctions: 1987 10th European Championships in 200m, 1989 8th European Championships in 400m, 1990 6th World Championships in 400m, 1991 9th European Championships in 400m and 5th at the Mediterranean Games in 200m, 1993 7th at the Mediterranean Games in 400m, 1997 2nd at the Mediterranean Games with the 4X100M relay. , 2004 5th at the 100m Super League, 2005 7th at the Mediterranean Games in 200m and 8th in the same event in the Super League.
I competed in the 2004 Athens Olympic Games in the 4X100m relay, where we finished 11th.
I am a graduate of the Greek Academy of Sports and I have been serving in the Hellenic Police since April 2006. For the last 2 years I have been a track and field coach at the Nea Ionia "ANATOLI" Junior High School and I coach children from the age of 4 to the age of 13 in track and field.
I am the mother of a 17-year-old child who is actively involved in sports, especially football as a goalkeeper, having competed with Olympiacos FC and AEK FC.
I have attended and been certified in a series of seminars regarding:
- PUBLIC RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATION IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR,
- DEVELOPMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE SKILLS: ASSESSMENT OF PRIORITIES AND EFFECTIVE TIME MANAGEMENT
- DEVELOPMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE SKILLS: HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT and I have received certification from the Greek Emergency Medical Service (EKAB) for the provision of first aid.
